5. Not sure of your point, but vets have a veterinarian degree. So that's one difference, but not
excluded by your question. One could be a humanitarian *and* a veterinarian.

17. I don't get your query. You obviously have a point, but I don't get it. I guess
it's along the line of ethics? But I'm guessing. Thanks.

18. No, it was a funny word play that came up in a conversation about Nigerian scams

and whether or not humanitarians were suckers, and then it turned to veterinarians and how like humanitarians they are, and vice versa.

thanks for asking. there is no point, really, I am just interested in what people think. On the subject maybe of people who work from their hearts... edit: I think humanitarians and veterinarians may have that in common.

...why do we park in driveways, but drive on parkways? or
...why do we ship cargo, but cargo goes by ship?

Pithy. :)

9. well trained veterinarians learn medical aspect of multi-species
Edited on Tue Sep-23-08 10:14 PM by hlthe2b
INCLUDING humans. Humans are just another animal species, after all sharing many many similarities with domestic livestock and companion animals, including dogs and cats. If the implication of this thread is to suggest veterinarians-- because of their compassion for animals-- are somehow less humanistic, just go the hell away.

If that is not the point of this thread, kindly explain what your objective might have been...
