A Republican "prayer" I saw on FSTDT and my take on it

"Lord, please open the eyes of elected Democratic politicians. A good many of them support the killing of unborn babies and the one running for President even supported allowing an aborted baby born alive to die without receiving any medical attention. A good many of these elected Democrats support gay marriages and are actively trying to make a union between people of the same sex legal across our land. Lord, these Democrats go and find sympathetic judges to usurp the will of the majority of the people even after the majority has voted on an issue. They think they know better than the majority of Americans.

A good many of these elected Democrats support just about every other religion with the exception of Christianity. They're even actively enacting laws which make it illegal to criticise sins, such as homosexuality, mentioned in Your Holy book. Lord, a good many of these Democrats do not embrace the old adage 'peace through strength' when it comes to our enemies. They would rather have talks with terrorists who want to destroy our way of life. They don't seem, or refuse, to recognize the dangers posed by Islamic radicals. Lord, these are just a few of the issues that our elected Democrats need to have their eyes opened to.

Lord, please don't let anymore Democrats who espouse the views mentioned above to get elected to the Senate, the House of Reprentatives, or the Presidency. In Jesus' mighty name I pray. Amen."

And here's my translation, cutting through the bullshit:

"Lord, please open the eyes of elected Democratic politicians. A good many of them support women being treated as human beings rather than walking incubators for future Marines. A good many of these elected Democrats support allowing dirty faggots to be happy with each other rather than sending them to extermination camps. We know Lord, that being a Christian and a follower of You begins and ends with opposing abortion and homosexuality, even though You never mentioned either of those issues while on Earth. Lord, these Democrats go and find sympathetic judges to usurp the will of us Republicans, even after we cheat like crazy to enforce our will, which is by extention Your will. They think they know better than the only Americans that matter - the rich ones.

A good many of these elected Democrats oppose giving special treatment to Christians, even though only our religion is the Truth(TM). They're even actively enacting laws which make it illegal to persecute and harass queers as Your Holy book instructs us to. Lord, a good many of these Democrats do not embrace the old adage 'might makes right' when it comes to our enemies. They would rather love our enemies like some irrelevant Jewish hippie once said, rather than blow them all to oblivion like true manly warriors of God would do. They don't seem, or refuse, to recognize the dangers posed by brown people. Lord, these are just a few of the issues that our elected Democrats need to have their eyes opened to.

Lord, please keep helping the Republicans steal votes and intimidate coloreds out of voting to ensure no more Democrats are fairly elected. In Jesus' mighty name I pray. Amen."

1. Fundys are brainwashed and incapable of independant thought.
I know a few and you simply can not reason with them.
Complete exercise in futility.

3. a lobotomy is a requirement for any religious person, by definition
they are guided by "faith", not thinking. Religion is anti-thinking.

4. "Peace through strength"?
Boy, they sure drop the Bible like a hot potato when they want to start shooting and bombing our "enemies," don't they? Sure puts that pussy Jesus in his place, doesn't it?
