Make no mistake..."Wall Street" is holding America hostage. |

It's nothing short of extortion. Tonight I heard one of the cable news bubble-heads warn 'Murkins that if Congress doesn't give Paulson the $700,000,000,000 no-questions-asked that their paychecks are at risk, because no one is loaning money to their employers anymore. Loans between banks weren't taking place and virtually the entire system was frozen for corporate America. Average Joe could still get a loan provided he has good credit, but corporate America was being frozen out of loans and your paychecks are at risk.
So...someone explain to me why this isn't a perfectly plausible conspiracy theory. The media needs GOP, owes GOP, GOP owns Media, blah blah, we know all that. But that shit's important. These bank guys have incredible leverage right now. They can stop GENERAL ELECTRIC's loans. The people who have to report on their malfeasance.
WE'RE FUCKED. Bush banked on this, which is why they refused to back down on taxes on the wealthy. They knew this was coming. They set it up. They needed to make sure their own nests were well-feathered when their schemes unraveled.
"Wall Street" can continue to refuse loans to "corporate America" (including the media giants), until they cave and spin the meme their way.
Tin foily? You be the judge. What's so implausible about it?

...bailout ($350 billion last week plus $700 billion now). We just don't pay and Wall Street goes away.

3. We need to completely change the tax rates on the wealthy. |
|
They need to have the shit taxed out of them for the next 5-10 years, and that includes offshore accounts, until this country is more in balance.
If we can find it.

4. Even when Reagan was in office they SURVIVED with a 70% top tax rate. |
|
They built mansions, bought Lear Jets, owned homes all around the world...and still managed to build incredible wealth and amass these mansion and Lear Jets. Why isn't that message getting across? Many of the billionaires whining about the excessive tax rates became billionaires under 70-90% tax rates on their parents' wealth which they inherited while a 'death tax' was also in place.
Getting the picture? Them that got theirs are telling the rest of us to fuck off, they're wealthy enough to ride it out.
Time for a tea party.
