How do I reply to a New thread?

Bottom right of original message says "reply". At least it does on mine...

3. You might have to "slide to the right" to see it.

The reply button is second from the right, on the menu at the bottom of the post.

O, perhaps, the font size in your browser is too large, and causing things to go off the page.

Try decreasing your font size first, then take a look at your desktop resolution.

My computer must be all messed up because I can't slide that far to the right ~ the computer guy is coming tomorrow to fix some other items so I'll include this problem too.

When I get on my back up machine, I have to use an ancient Netscape browser and the same thing happens to me. Everything is too wide.

I'm not sure what I did last night but this morning it is bettter. I can see reply when I post! :)
I remember that I tried sliding the screen over and I found the reply button.

Now my question is, afte you make a choice of Recommend etc., do you hit the refresh button?

That is what I did today and it worked.

You're right though - there is no "go back" link at the moment.

10. I think sfexpat2000 had the answer.

If you are using Netscape or some older browser you might take this as a good reason to upgrade. Firefox was originally based on the same engine as Netscape and has since gone to the top of the heap in terms of features and security. Go here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ for the download. I've used it since version 0.7 with no hassles, and it's now up to 3.0. Very safe to try, and if you run into any questions you'll find plenty of help here on DU.
