There was concern about the stiffling effect it could have on free speech.

It died in it's first incarnation and became the reads/recs numbers.
That hasn't seemed to hurt the scope of the postings.

Right now I've got autistic-like anxiety from the high object novelty of the color blocks.

7. I felt the same thing with the big colored icons that came with DU ver 2
At first they looked like gigantic baby toys.

Now they just look like baby toys and that's pretty appropriate for DU'ers. :)

9. Based on how DU is sometimes I think baby toys ARE appropriate!
Then on other days I'm afraid half the posters are gonna kill themselves because of poll numbers... :evilgrin: :rofl:

LOL, I have Asperger's Syndrome and the rating icons ARE a bit annoying! :rofl: They should be on the right side and be smaller.
