Do Americans need to Rise Up? |
|
I've actually heard a few Americans say this lately, I've even heard the R word used here and there. What does that mean anyway, 'rise up'?
We need to rise up early in the morning, drink a pot of good, strong coffee, and instead of going to work, go kick ass.
And I AIN'T talkin' bout violence, so don't lay that on me.

We're supposed to wake up, grab some Joe, and "kick ass", but in a non-violent way. Whose ass? How? Start a major leafletting campaign? Sign an online petition? March? Call people? Move away?
I'm all ready to "rise up", but I don't know what to do.

I'm a Marxist, so, duh...
I'm all for a socialist revolution in the U.S., but don't think it's possible at this time.
