Edited on Wed Sep-24-08 09:01 AM by Phred42
We have to stop calling this a Trillion dollar bailout. It's not.

The Trillion dollars must be BORROWED - AT INTEREST. One estimate I've heard was 10-11% interest. What is the monthly payment on a Trillion Dollars at 11% interest?

BY DESIGN, We can NEVER pay this off.

We are experiencing the Fascist Coup de Grace to the United States Of America.

If this abortion goes through - it's over.

That's my opinion, I could be wrong.

2. I dont have figures for it THIS year......but in 2005
we were still paying BILLIONS in interest on money that Reagan borrowed.

From Ravi Batra's book "The only problem was that when Reagan took his meat axe to our tax code, he produced mind-boggling budget deficits. Voodoo economics didn't work out as planned, and even after borrowing so much money that this year we'll pay over $100 billion just in interest on the money Reagan borrowed to make the economy look good in the 1980s, Reagan couldn't come up with the revenues he needed to run the government."
