What do the numbers, on the greatest page, under the title |
|
and before the number of recs a thread is given mean? (i.e., 5, 4.9, 4.8, etc.)

1. I think it indicates how many rec's have been given. Not sure. |

3. It's the average of the votes. |
|
From the explanation post: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=389&topic_id=4070591&mesg_id=4070591Threads are listed in order of their thread ratings. (A vote of "Must read" is assigned a rating of 5; "Recommended" is 4; "Average" is 3; "Skip it" is 2; and "Disruptive" is 1. All the votes are then averaged to get the thread rating.) The number value of the rating is shown, along with the number of votes. A thread must have 10 votes to be eligible to appear on the Greatest Page.
