Where the fuck is bush? Highly suspicious behavior during a crisis if you ask me. |
|
If this crisis is as dire as the talking heads say, why isn't the president in full crisis mode?
Is there or is there not a crisis? Pulling a palin and hiding from the press and the people is NOT an option in a national crisis, is it?
This fucker is HIDING, hiding from us, hiding from the awful truth that only he and a handful of his masters know. Too bad we don't have a real president, especially during a crisis.
Perhaps our fearless 'shock and awe', 'ready, fire, aim' leader has pissed his pants.

1. I suggest that the crisis is mostly manufactured.... |
|
And this President is hiding, yes. However, the reason he's hiding is what concerns me.
If you can't find him, there's a reason.....

that this whole thing is a setup. Get the Dems to bail out Wall Street and then use it as a sledgehammer against them. Another words--an October Surprise.

4. Bush is hiding behind Cheney (LINK): |
|
And Cheney is handling it in his normal "secret" style: http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=ahVitxNNITl4&refer=homeApparently this crisis isn't big enough for Cheney to speak to everyone in the congress - just the Republicans.

getting measured for his throne, picking out the gems for his crown and scepter and posing for the Royal portrait soon to be seen on the sides of large buildings everywhere.
Problems of us "little people" are no concern of his, never have been but he had to pretend before.

with the rest of the snakes.
Anyone see Schumer a few minutes ago at the Joint Economic Committee hearing? What a scumbag. He is going to push for the bailout with few controls on the Wall Street gangsters.
I sent him the nastiest email I have ever sent to a government official, filled with a string of four letter epithets. I doubt if I'm the only one to loose it here lately, but I have never been so mad.
Probably end up on some watch list now, but what the hell. There comes a point when you gotta call 'em like you see 'em, and call a ganster a gangster.

16. Because of the visual it would create to see Bush beg for money for Wall Street |
|
They want to avoid that this close to his end...this close to the election.
Asking "Where's Bush?" can lead to any answer...actually seeing Bush and hearing him beg for money is a very powerful image. One that will anger people...that Bush wants money...and a lot of it.
People can be funny...directing their anger at the messenger only
Right now Paulson and Bernanke are taking the heat. It's them asking...not Bush (the perception created) but let Bush appeal to the people on TV and it will be him.
Bush - Bailout. Bush - Bailout. Bush - Bailout - disastrous economy.
They want to avoid that image.
Also, Bush's schtick was he surrounds himself with smart people - so he blames the smart people when anything goes wrong...and Bush wants people to blame them too. The smart people in intelligence got it wrong...not Bush (Iraq)...the smart people in treasury got it wrong...not Bush. Bush's smart people talking point came with its own built-in defense...it was them that screwed up...always them...not him. The smart people let Bush down. The smart people gave Bush bad advice. Bush acted on what the smart people said...like any President would....so how can anything be his fault? Better to be thought a fool than criminal.

I had an odd thought - could he be being forced to say what they tell him to say- could he be not happy with what they are telling him to do/say, could he be drugged? i know it sounds wacky - just a musing...

21. "All right, you cocksucker..." |
|
That's a line from the movie Serpico (see below), and as I've written elsewhere, I believe Bush had a Serpico moment
I truly understand and accept that the Bush administration has looted this country and the treasury for the last 7 years. And lots of people in the liberal blogosphere worry that this $700 billion bailout of the banking system will be just one more opportunity for Bush gang looting
But frankly, the way things are moving, I think they are out of the loop.
Ever seen the movie Serpico -- one of my favorites? It's about a crusading NYC cop, Frank Serpico. He basically won't take bribes in the Bronx and works to expose corruption in Manhattan.
Then as revenge, the department assigns him to Brooklyn narcotics, where is colleagues will set him up to be shot in the face and almost killed.
On first day, a fellow narcotics officer pulls him into the car and says:
"All right, you cocksucker. You might get by with that shit in the Bronx, but down here, eight thousand a month is chicken feed. And with that, you don't fuck around. You understand? Good. Now get the fuck out."
I hate to compare Bush to Serpico, but it seems to me that at some point the financial powers said to Bush, "you might get by with stealing an election, letting New Orleans drown so you could ethnically cleanse it of Blacks and Democrats, looting the public treasury or committing war crimes Iraq, but down here, a trillion dollars is chicken feed. And with that you don't fuck around. You understand? Good. Now get the fuck out."
Bush isn't around because and his looters are not in control of this one. It's too important.
Cheney is probably in his bunker with his "man sized secret cabinet" shredding documents, or maybe dissolving the human meat from human bones in tubs of sulfuric acid.
But their absence is because this to important to let them fuck with.
