Hello all.... just checking in... my computer is dead....

We lost power last Thursday morning and a few hours later my monitor seemed to have died and so my son bought me a new one for my b-day present and xmas. :p Then, the next day, my computer would not boot up. The lights are on and the fans are running but NADA... Zilch... no USB key board, no USB mouse, no picture on new monitor. I'm worried that my motherboard is shot but hoping it's "only" the video card or the USB port/card(?) but I can't even bring it in to get a diagnosis until Friday, as the computer repair place is swamped and my Restore CD's aren't booting it up! ARGH! :argh: So, maybe you didn't miss me and then again, maybe you were wondering what happened, so I thought I'd drop you all a line and tell those that may be interested, what is going on. :) I'm at the library right now and the chairs here are awful (for a reason! To get rid of people taking to much time.), so I'm going to log out in a few minutes. I'll check back later on today or tomorrow. I'm going to the next town over to see if i can use thier library computer to make a Boot CD. I hope so!!
