I've decided I'm for a bailout to stimulate the economy
we should take that $700 billion and divide it among the US taxpayers.
There were about 135 million of us paying taxes to the federal government in 2006.
We each get $5K to stimulate the heck out of the economy to avert a recession.

It will be difficult but I promise to do my share and spend that money.

2. Please direct deposit my $5k today
so I can pay my rent, my phone bill, put some gas in my truck, and buy some food.

Republicons have trashed my national and personal, um, financial position.

Thank you very much for your patriotic proposal.

3. Nationalize the oil on those leases, forgive the loans given by the mortgage giants
so that the people can keep their homes ...

6. no,you can't forgive the debts on the mortgages
however you can take them over and price them to allow people to stay in their homes

4. That would buy us almost
two months of mortgage and health insurance. That kind of help would get us through the end of the year and then some. We would, like most Americans, spend the money for day-to-day expenses as opposed to saving it or putting it in the 'market.'

But I would rather see the $700 billion spent on infrastructure and development of clean energy and transportation. Full employment will lessen the number of families unable to make mortgage payments. And we could free ourselves from foreign oil, fight global warming, etc.

5. thats my point, the people will put it right back into the economy
and an infrastructure project would take months or longer to get off the ground
