13. On Thom Hartmann's Show...
another dellusionally ideological mouth piece with all his theories on "Free-Market" was doing just that. He blamed this financial crisis on government regulation. I kid you not.... that's why I posted this thread.

18. I Think That's What People Like Him Thrive On...
the best thing to say to people like him is.... "You are either dellusional or full of shit and this conversation ends as of now". Hartmann would never say such a thing...

Hartmann did however point out that this free market theory has never been used by any civilization that we know of, therefore he had no basis to dismiss any other economies while propping up a theory that seems to have already failed.

4. I have never forgotten the opening words to GWB's speech
at a tribute to Milton Friedman. Some hero indeed.

"Well, thank you all very much. It's an honor for me to be here to pay tribute to a hero of freedom, Milton Freidman."

9. Shameless kick for Bob
That's one of the reasons I found Rand so laughable when I kicked and clawed my way through her rubbish in my teens.

The other was envisioning those hard, driven characters at a loss about what to do with a hungry, cranky toddler.

There were no children in her books for a very good reason.

12. A friend just sent me this little tidbit from the RNC platform..

"We do not support government bailouts of private institutions. Government interference in the markets exacerbates problems in the marketplace and causes the free market to take longer to correct itself."
