Classic Republican self-loathing |

I think this is what the financial crisis has revealed.
We all know that often the worst gay-bashing Republicans end up being gay themselves. That's a good example of Republican self-loathing seen from the likes of Larry Craig and Ted Haggard.
However, after decades of Republicans decrying socialism and communism, we now find out that's where they wanted to take us all along. It's why the Bush administration has governed with the transparency of the Kremlin.
It's also why they want to nationalize every business they can on Wall Street and socialize all of their failures.
Republicans hate who they are, the damn Commie Pinkos, and the rest of us have to deal with the consequences.
I say they should just pick themselves up by their bootstraps, the good ol' American way.

When repubs say "too big to fail" they really mean:
"We hope to grow to be so big that the possibility of a failure would be too disruptive to the rest of the economy... so we long to be big enough to one day qualify for a Federal bail out."
