Evangelicals Looking to Convert Jew: Blasted by ADL

The World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) caught the attention of the ADL when it declared it's intentions of targeting European Jews for conversion. Abraham H. Foxman and ADL director of interfaith policy Rabbi Eric J. Greenberg both issued a strong statement denouncing this conversion drive:"Promoting a campaign to convert Jews away from their faith is a serious affront to the Jewish people and disrespectful to Judaism's own teachings"."To issue this declaration from Berlin, where the Nazis directed their Final Solution to exterminate the Jewish people, is the height of insensitivity." Another Jewish organization speaking out against these conversion attempts is Jews for Judaism. Jews for Judaism founder, Rabbi Bentzion Kravitz points out that the WEA claims to deplore the use of deception and coercion. It also considers "good and right... those ministries specifically directed to the Jewish people."Rabbi Bentzion Kravitz calls these claims hypocritical. "You can't deplore deception and coercion," he says, "and at the same time call 'good and right' ministries who attract converts by masquerading themselves as traditional Jews, misquoting and fabricating Jewish sources and using fear of damnation as a form of coercion."

1. That worked so well in the fifteenth century.
:sarcasm: (Remember the Spanish Inquisition?)

Why don't these geniuses learn the lessons of history if they can't come from a place of human decency?

6. You know what's really funny about this?
Freepers reason that Obama is a Muslim because his grand dad was a Muslim, and, according to them, you can never change your religion.

If that's the case, then how do they propose converting non-Christians?

They can't have it both ways.

9. Sounds like the McCain campaign....
With some adjustments this fits the McCain campaign very well. I can't believe that McCain /Palin could get any support from Florida if this gets out! I can see he vetted her really well..Ha
