we have decided to cancel the upcoming game, since we wouldn't want the contest to appear as ruthless football or biased toward our equally-disabled team."

Instead, Oregon would state that it would like to sponsor a group-meeting of all teams, to discuss the topics of "roughness on the field" and "how to maim and injure a quarterback without really appearing to do so".
