2. The WH, Paulson, Bernanke, et. al. have had months to draft three pages.... |
|
Congress needs more than a week to draft a decent counter proposal.
As far as I can tell, what's on the table is "Give us $700B to spend and spread around as we see fit" and can't imagine that's going to fly. At the very least, some members will be wondering how they will profit personally - or not. The rest still haven't picked their chins up off the floor at the ballsiness of it all.

5. "Dodd's Plan" includes credit card debt "buyouts", but doesn't answer the other big questions... |
|
And no one I know of is saying they'll vote on "Dodd's Plan".

10. Thanks for your efforts! Now, as for the bill... |
|
Edited on Wed Sep-24-08 06:08 PM by Junkdrawer
NOTHING about the amount (50, 100, 150, or 700 Billion)...
NOTHING about who gets to pick which securities to rescue...
NOTHING about how a price will be determined...
If it's 700 Billion, it would be the biggest appropriation bill EVER, and yet all the important details are determined by ONE MAN???
