Sinclair is at it again!!!

My local Sinclair station just reversed the WaPo poll numbers that came out this morning! I grabbed my phone and told them if they didn't correct it and I was going to spread the photo I took of their scam far and wide. No correction 45 minutes later. Promise kept.

She reported them accurately.....but they had this big honking graphic on the screen longer than she was on screen. It sunk in with people.

Edited to add my friend thought there was something horribly wrong with me -- I yelled "fuck, I gotta go -- I'll call you back!" :P

11. Hour later....no graphic of any kind shown again, no story repeated.....

And no correction issued. FUCK SINCLAIR! Lying sacks of crap! I know people make mistakes but this is Sinclair -- I absolutely can't rule out intentional.

Yes, it's our only local ABC station...as a matter of fact, it's our only local station -- the rest come out of SC.

13. 6:28 local news is now over and they never corrected it.......

The never showed the graphic they claim to have corrected, they never voiced a correction and they never aired the story again. They aired other stories more than once but not this one. I'll say it again, lying sacks of crap. Watch for dirty election 2008 tricks on your local Sinclair stations, everyone!

As is the case with most television stations, this television station broadcasts advertisements placed by politicians and their supporters. Sometimes these advertisements are negative in nature and, in some of such cases we receive complaints about the negative ads from the campaign committee of the candidate being criticized. When we receive such complaints we carefully consider the positions of both the party complaining and the party that placed the advertisement. If we determine an advertisement is false and misleading, we will refuse to run such an advertisement (except in the case of an advertisement placed by an actual candidate where the law does not allow for such an action).

We are, however, strong believers in Freedom of Speech and will not allow threats and attempts at intimidation to cause our station to remove advertisements that are not false and misleading. Although many people are not in favor of negative political advertisements, such advertisements are in fact legal. Accordingly, it is not this station's policy to reject such advertisements simply because a politician or his or her supporters want to silence the voices of their opponents.
