According to CNN, Bush's speech tonight is scheduled to last 15 minutes...
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/09/24/bush.bailout/index.html

15 minutes to address the American people about something being sold as of apocalyptic magnitude...

I spent more time explaining to my kids why it's wrong to pull the cat's tail...

34. That's only if you give him the 15 min in the first place.
I figure to spend about 30 sec catching up on the whole thing here soon as it's over.

I know I may be off, but this is not an outlier

32. Yeah...that has got me a little nervous too.
I have said for 2 years that it would not surprise me in the LEAST if this alleged president attempted to declare a national emergency, with martial law in force, and canceled the election.

When I first heard he will "address the nation" tonight, about the gravity of this time...a chill ran down my spine.

3. Doesn't take long to issue a state of emergency
suspend the constitution (what's left of it) and "delay" the Presidential elections.

Not calling you out, was thinking they realized the political blunder.

Let's see if I can correct my stupid...

EDIT: All I'm seeing is an extreme close-up of Gin-blossom's broken capillaries. Don't fret it, though, I'm probabliy just effing things up somehow; been a long goddam day.

when real, solid, adult leadership might actually move us in the right direction...which is bound to be difficult enough at this point.

13. I'll bet Bush makes a statement
asking for everyone to be bi-partisan and get this ripoff done. He may not mention McCain by name but I bet he somehow gets a compliment in about how some people are able to put politics aside to do what's right for the country.

28. LOL!...
One daughter is 26, and the other is 18, the cat-tail lessons took place years ago.

Neither one needs my guidance in recognizing the moral bankruptcy of the clowns in charge these days... :D

Although, perhaps if his mom and dad had explained the reason you don't pull a cat's tail to George, in terms of compassion as well as real consequences, he would have grown to be a decent person.
