They have no consensus, and the Republicans will paint John McCain as the instrumental person in getting something done.

They're slime.

New talking point: McCain cares more about saving his cronies' money than the Ameican people.

3. John McCain saves the day
This really has my blood boiling.

They cannot be allowed to pull off the old "we needed McCain's leadership to solve the crisis."

It needs to be said again and again that McCain just said days ago that the fundamentals of the economy are strong and that he was a big part of creating this mess.

Also, if he does get credit for ending the bailout stalemate, then he needs to be painted as the insider of the good old boys club that he is. And as being in bed with these companies, which he is.
