That commercial with the lady from the Oil and Gas lobby.
You know the one? She's talking about how Congress has put much of America's oil and gas reserves out of the hands of the (poor) drilling companies?

I just noticed something.

When she says the bit about Congress keeping it out of our hands, the picture is a map of the United States with a red outline where Congress is blocking energy corporations are being blocked from drilling.

Then, when she talks about how the environment will be protected, it shows one picture of a pretty sky with fluffy white clouds and two pictures of grassy fields. But no pictures of water; either an ocean or a river.

This subliminal trickery is disgusting. I also think that the commercials for oil douche T. Bone whatever his name is mimic both the oil and gas reserves commercial and the We Can Solve It commercials.

So typical of the GOP to co-opt liberal ideas with no plan whatsoever to implement any of them.

1. T. Boone
owns the largest wealth of natural gas. Suspect to me though is the fact that I saw his name listed as the second largest individual donor to the Kerry Swift-boating.
But....I heard him speak on MPR the other day. He stated that there is not enough oil in Anwar or Alaska and on the coasts and that the transition to Gas and wind and solar would be the most prudent. Although....he is for extracting oil from shale. This has been known to be bad for certain habitats but don't know all the details. He said he has design models as well as has the wind and solar corridors mapped out as well as cost estimates. Take this for what you will although he said he would not endorse any candidate but did express having a better conversation in dealing with Obama.

2. I've decided I'm not going to listen to him.
He's not an honest broker in this. He has interests in this and cannot be trusted to decide for the American people in the long run if it goes against his own interests.
