If McCain Wants To Cancel The FP Debate - Than Tough, No Do Over
Edited on Wed Sep-24-08 06:23 PM by Median Democrat
McCain will, of course, cry and say that the debate should take place next week, then call Obama chicken for not showing up, even though McCain is playing no role in the bailout negotiations.

McCain is on the: Armed Services, Commerce, Science, and Transportation, and Indian Affairs committees, which are not leading the bailout negotiations.

If McCain wants to bailout on the debate, there is no reason for Obama to go out of his way to try to re-schedule. I say just move on to the townhall than the domestic policy debate.

Obama should make clear that the debate should go on, and Obama is prepared to debate this Friday, but than we are moving on from there.

I bet that McCain will then propose to cancel the Biden-Palin debate, and say that the Obama-McCain FP policy debate should take place then.

1. Have the debates as scheduled. If someone doesn't show up, they lose the chance.

2. Wow! I Was Just Kidding About Cancelling The Palin Debate...
But its true! McCain is proposing cancelling the VP debate altogether to allow Obama/McCain to debate on that date.

3. Does McCain have any clue how much he would be hurting the economy by cancelling the debate
All the money that would go to hotels, restaurants, advertisers, airlines, service employees... The list could probably go on and on. He is a real idiot.

5. they are just trying to push the debates all back to AFTER their big surprise
If they lose too much ground early then the big surprise won't make a lot of headway.
