7-Eleven Clerk Shoots Robber

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A person who attempted to rob a 7-Eleven was shot to death Tuesday night.

It happened about 10:30 p.m. at 2635 Van Brunt Boulevard.

Two clerks were in the store; one was in uniform and the other was not. The plainclothes clerk had a gun and a concealed carry permit.

According to authorities, an 18-year-old male walked into the 7-Eleven and attempted to rob the store. He was then shot in the neck by the clerk.

3. Here's the thing about that. I go to that 7-11 all the time.........

That 7-11 is directly across the street from the East Patrol Division Headquarters of the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department! Cops, in uniform and plain-clothes, must go in and out of that store frequently. I've never figured out how anyone NOT on drugs would be crazy enough to try to stick up that place.

I recall that a robber was shot and killed there about 10 years ago by another customer at the store. This is at least the 3rd robber shot and killed at this store in the last 12 years.
