If Congress actually put Bush's recommended restrictions into the bill, he'd VETO it!

He nor his band of thieves has any intention of accepting those limitations he alluded to
in his speech.

Particularly as regards caps on CEO rewards (which is overall a
minuscule compensatory action relative to the kinds of penalties they should pay US).
That was what one analyst said on NPR after the Bush speech. And he said he was hard pressed to find ANY economist that felt the bill was acceptable or good for the country.

He said we're in trouble economically whether or NOT this bill passes.

The fact that these companies and CEOs are cleaving to their personal packages says volumes about where they really
stand as regards the 'urgency' of this situation and their willingness to accept ANY accountability...but they're perfectly ready and willing to bankrupt everyone else! They have a real contempt for the people of this country (those not in their club) and the devastating results of their actions on this country. They are CRIMINALS! But who is getting the protection?
