Wouldn't this be a good time for the House to apply PAYGO?
You know, that "fiscal responsibility" bill they passed awhile back. If they want to pass this bailout bill, they should have to figure out exactly where they intend to get the funds to pay for it. Well, they can either raise taxes on the top 1% and let the rich bastards pay the tab or demand that each and every man, woman, and child send them $2300 RIGHT FUCKING NOW.

Contact your Congresspeeps, demand they apply PAYGO to the bailout bill and let's see how they feel about their chances in the upcoming election after they tell you for fork over $2300 to the government so the fat cats on Wall Street can make ends meet.

you oughta hear me when I call my Congresspeeps. I expect their offices to block my number any day now. ;)

3. Say, now there's an idea.
I thought PAYGO was touted as the be-all end-all answer to our budget woes. Now seems like a REALLY good time to apply it.

Is this bailout going to cost us each $2300 or $7000? I've heard both figures but I'm not sure which is correct. I'm guessing the $2300 is based on figuring the cost for every man, woman and child and the $7000 is the cost per taxpayer based on the actual number of taxpayers but that's just a guess on my part.

5. LOL! Good point.
Guess I should have read the fine print in the PAYGO bill.
