How much more will each US citizen OWE the govt for this bailout? |
|
There is a reason that the price tag is not written out. A) They don't know how much in the end they will want/need to take from the Treasury; B) if they spoke in real debt obligation (per each tax payer) no one would go along withit, unless serious strings were attached, as well as a clear benefit to most US citizens.
Let's go back to reality based governing. Tell us how much each of us (us citizens) are on the hook for (to be paid, including interest over the years) - and then try to sell us something that benefits few of us. Putting real price tags to these issues would change - immediately - the discussion.
If W, when their plan was first released - said - each tax payer will owe X - and over ten years with interest will ow Y, but no court, nor congress can review how that money is spent... then the original proposal would never have been the "starting point" for negotiations.

2. You will get a simple form to fill out. |
|
1. How much do you earn?
2. If the above amount is over $1,000,000, do nothing. If it is less than $1,000,000, go to step 3.
3. Make out a check for the above amount payable to "Wall Street Scam Artists" and send it to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
