I just saw Bush speaking tonight. Is it me or did he look like he is
really scared of his own words OR what was behind the camera.

It was crazy how his eyes didn't move and was so wide.

Am I wrong or was it like someway scared the smug attitude out of him.

25. I missed it. How was the coke jaw? Did he jerk it much?
He's been jerking it a lot again, lately. If it was calmed down, tonight, maybe that scared look on his face was from the medication.

26. He had a deer in the headlights look
I have never seen a look like that on his face. Not even on 9 11.

27. Could his beady little eyes look worse? They were beady.
He was more lucid than I've heard him. He schooled us all about this bailout. :eyes:
He did change his tune a bit, but why would anyone with no respect (that's about 88% now) believe him now?

3. He seemed sedate to me, actually.
Like he's medicated.

He read the teleprompter remarkably well.

I also noticed a strange sound in the background, like wind in a microphone or something. It was on all three networks. Maybe he was dry humping the podium.

18. Sedated is the better word
I was hearing that noise too, it sounded like somebody was talking in the background. Was he wearing his earpiece?

29. Could it have been interference between his earpiece and the remote control
that makes his mouth go up and down?

6. Chimpy probably has been told in no uncertain...
...terms how he must deal with this crisis. You can be sure he is duly respectful of the banksters who have long owned this country.

Almost half a century ago we had a president who was NOT duly respectful of these folks:

21. This may be far fetched...
Edited on Wed Sep-24-08 11:26 PM by Mr_Jefferson_24
...but I have no problem envisioning Chimpy getting a cordial, unannounced, and unrecorded visit from an emissary of the international bankster clan, and politely reminded of the paramount importance of making sure the citizenry does not turn its anger on the Fed, and how they're counting on him to do whatever is necessary to make sure that doesn't happen.

Even Chimpy would understand that message, and it may explain his "just soiled my pants" expression.

8. His face seemed extraordinarily tight
maybe just a trick of makeup and light. But yeah he looked like he was trying hard to keep something like fear off his face. The wall to wall smug wasn't there. I've never seen that before.

I've never seen him "presented" that way. Must be everyone who knew how to market him has left and are now job searching.

14. Personally, I think he's back on the bottle
lately he's been slurring words (more than just dumb-Bush speak). Though tonight I didn't hear the slurring, the look on his face and determined concentration of a teenager trying to fool mom with the "I was at the library" story, seemed to give it away.

He knows. Even the mental midget, knows he f* up. Nice legacy, he's been used up by the cronies that put him there and he will take the fall all the way down.

15. I kept hearing a sound that sounded like loud snoring during
Bush's speech. Did anyone else notice that? It was hilarious. My wife and I kept laughing so hard, we failed to hear what Bush said. I was just praying that some computer tech ie had hacked in and added the "snore track" to Bush's speech.

22. Excuse the vulgarity, but, at first, it sounded like Bush was farting.
Then I realized it was more like snoring. At any rate, it was damn funny.

28. My take is - he didn't deliver
He was supposed to come up with 700 billion with no restrictions.

He had to deliver the news that restrictions and oversight are part of the new plan and it will be 'up to' 700 billion. He didn't get what he wanted and may have a huge financial exposure.

Cheney and the boys may throw him under the bus and he has realized his actual place in the the pecking order.
