Instead of Impeachment... Congress is going to give him $700 billion...
You know... with Democrats like these... who needs Republicans?

They were sent there to end the war... they doubled the amount of troops and tripled the amount of money going towards the war... all with no oversight or accountability.

They were sent there to end the spying... they not only made it legal but retroactively legal so even when "they" broke the law they didn't break the law... all with no oversight or accountability...

They were sent there to rebuke the President and reign in his obscene excesses... they gave him everything he wanted and more... even allowing Rove to blatantly and publicly wipe his ass with their summons.

And now... they are going to give him and his buddies $700 billion dollars...

When Republicans were anally raping this country, that was bad enough. I expect those ass fuckers to legislate good people into hell... but it stings a bit when it's people who were supposed to be on "our" side doing the raping. It's become blatantly obvious to me that Congress... no matter who controls it has only the wealthy in mind and that they will only help their rich friends.

I have come to accept that Congress will give Bush everything that he wants and more but I also believe they will rue the day they did... I have told everyone who ever mentioned anything about open resistance to this corrupt regime that no one will rock the boat when their bellies are full... after the tsunami of soul crushing inflation crashes into our shores, when the Fed prints up and dumps $1 trillion new dollars into our monetary system... after this happens... and it most certainly will... there will be hunger and that hunger is what will tear this country to shreds.

Go ahead Congress... put the gun up to America's head and pull that trigger... let Bush tell the people to "Go Eat Cake" and I will be the first to fret over you when your heads fall away from the blade of the guillotines when you starve the people of this nation into rebellion. Steal from the American people and pay your bloated buddies... it's time to put this ravaged and abused country out of its misery anyway.

2. I don't think that they will fork over the entire 700B. Probably something
more like 150B, still a large chunk of change. I still don't understand why Paulson keeps saying they have to have the 700B even though it will take two years to encumber it. That sounds suspicious to me.

7. The Bush administration is not going to settle for anything less than what they have demanded...
Wall Street has already said, through Paulson, that they will hold their capital and crush the economy if Congress does not act. Both Paulson and Bernake echoed the same sentiment in their statements to Congress and the $700 billion was not negotiable. The price tag is not what is causing Congress to balk... what was left out of the plan is what is causing Congress to stall... that was the compensation packages for their individual districts. If Paulson had included mortgage relief through bankruptcy legislation this deal would have been signed on Monday... Paulson (Bush) wants to bail out only Wall Street and lob a big "Fuck You" over the wall at the American people.

4. It is beyond belief that they would fold again. But, they'll probably
fold again. Jesus, it's surreal.

6. Here's how it works:
When the Dems are in the minority, they say they are powerless to do anything because the Republicans are in the majority so Bush ends up getting whatever he wants.

When the Dems are in the majority, they say they are powerless to do anything because those meanies in the Republican minority block everything so Bush ends up getting whatever he wants.

8. Hammer... meet the head of the nail...
I was livid when they put John Conyers in the basement when he tried to hold a hearing on the abuses in the Iraq war... now, watching his putridly pathetic actions as chairman... I wish he'd stick himself in the basement.

I don't know what the hell happened but I am sorely troubled by the actions and inaction's of this Congress.

9. I'm with you.
Every day it's becoming more and more obvious whose side these guys are on. They used to at least throw us some crusts every once in awhile. Now they don't even bother giving us crumbs. They don't have to. They have all the power, their corporate masters are happy, and they know we can't do shit so why in the hell would they even bother to appease us? At this point, the only solution I can see is a revolution. Anything short of that will just give us "more of the same."

10. Revolution isn't a solution...
At least, not the sort of revolt Congress will create when they starve Americans to death... that sort of revolt doesn't change anything and only creates more devils and more demons. Revolutions are good if they are revolutions away from hate and violence... things this Congress pays for on a minute by minute basis... and towards justice and mutual respect for life... things this Government despises to its core. Violent revolution is not a solution... it's a curse and a bane on society... but when that happens here, the finger of responsibility will fall squarely on those vicious jackals that haunt the halls of our Congress... may God spit in their vile faces.
