"dystopia" was a blind spot in my vocabulary |

I had heard and read the word at least since I was a teenager. I came to feel like I had a vague understanding of what it meant. I really only nailed the definition after looking it up in relation to the movie "Idiocracy."
Aren't we hurtling toward dystopia?

Unless one buys into the idyllic past myth, one knows that we live in, and have long lived in, a world with strong elements of dystopia.
