Who the hell put out that ad going after McCain for being old and having melanoma? |
|
The ad starts out saying "John MCain is 72 years old and has had 4 melanomas removed". Then it goes on to talk about how deadly melanoma is while showing pictures of McCain's scars. That shit makes us look fucking horrible. Who the fuck would actually put that shit on the air?

3. erm, has anyone actually seen this ad? |

Even the dirtiest political ads have to indicate who funded them. OP might've bothered watching and taking note prior to posting.

And I have no problem with such groups doing to McCain what the vile conservatives have been doing to Obama all along--calling him a "baby killer" and "terrorist supporter."

9. I don't have a problem so much with the ad as I do its timing. |
|
Polls are breaking for Obama. People are waking up and realizing that more DE-regulation is not the answer, McSame has been in the pockets of big biz his whole career, etc. This ad is NOT NECESSARY RIGHT NOW. Obama (and any pro-Dem 527s) should switch to being POSITIVE right now - reinforce those voters, remind them how it will take a Democratic administration to fix this mess.

12. I think its only failing is that it doesn't flash up a picture of Sarah Palin when it talks about |
|
his capacity to serve.
Sometimes the truth isn't pleasant.
But it doesn't make it any less the truth.

13. Why is the man's OBVIOUS health issues off limits? |
|
He has had bouts with deadly melanoma.
He looks absolutely terrible.
He has not released his health records.
He takes weekends off.
He is aging/deteriorating before our eyes.
This is off limits for discussing ..... why?

19. I haven't seen that particular ad, but his health is a completely legitimate issue. |
|
Unlike Obama and most Presidential candidates, he has NOT released his medical records. And the qualifications of his VP nominee are thinner than any candidate in history.

20. I think it's fine. A good friend had two melanomas. After 2nd, he was dead 1.5 years later. |
|
I think McSame's bouts with melanoma are very salient when it comes to "is he fit to be president?" It's a very virulent form of cancer and I have seen its deadliness up close and personal. If Palin weren't the VP candidate I'd have much less concern.

24. Look, sometimes truth isn't pretty. The fate of this nation is riding on |
|
the future president's health and vigor as much as anything else about him. McCain's health is and should be an issue.
Quit your belly-aching. This is no time for PC. McCain's health IS AN ISSUE!
