About the Gonzales fiasco |
|
Do you think he will survive the tsunami that is swelling around him right now?
I think he will resign by.....Friday. The longer he stays in office, the more the democrats will investigate. The Bush administration cannot afford that. They will cut him loose to quell the bleeding.
Can't think of another scandal that will wipe this off the front pages.....but then who the heck knows when it comes to the Bush administration......

That N.Y. Times article makes me believe it. The WH offered no defense of the AG in that piece. But getting rid of Gonzo shouldn't be the end of it. Bush ought to be held sccountable. Of course, he very rarely is.

3. Nothing will happen. Because nothing has happened. Every "big" powerhouse |
|
event that should have brought these thugs down....has fizzeled....just like a balloon losing its air.
We can only measure the future by the past.
List the major success that have had a major impact and then we can talk.

He said the email trail is the "legs" of this story. Not going away. Democrats and Republics both believe they were lied to. He did say Republics are going to be more open to a revised version of what happened.
I think this story has legs with or without Gonzo.

6. Consider how long they clung to Rumsfeld |
|
meaning 3 years after the old bastard should have slunk off in deep shame. Some people are key to this administration.
As for Gonzales, my own gut feeling is that he's expendable. They'll want to get Harriet Miers into the job, but will likely settle for one of her well trained underlings, an unknown who will continue the torture business as usual.
I don't expect a quick dismissal, though. If there's one thing Stupid can't stand, it's someone outside his inner circle telling him what to do. Gonzo may weather this storm and leave three months from now to spend more time with his family.

8. how many times did we want Rumsfeld to resign, over and over |
|
again, and he is gone, or so we think, he still has an office at the State Department.
