POLITICO: Do you support the reelection bids of embattled Alaska Republicans, Rep. Don Young and Sen. Ted Stevens?

A: Ted Stevens trial started a couple days ago. We'll see where that goes.

POLITICO: Are you gong to vote for them?

A: I don't support that until the provisions that Sen. McCain has offered are implemented in Paulson's proposals.

Every time I hear her speak or read about a speech of hers I feel I loose IQ points. She is such a robot. Ask her a question 10 times trying to get her to expand or show that she has more than a prepared talking point, and nothing. I think I would have a very brief career as a journalist. I would have no patience for bullshit. I would just come out and ask, "Do you have anything other than a prepared talking point to regurgitate?" "Can you show me that you can think on your own please?"

I swear, even in that fluff piece by Katie Couric Palin couldn't divert from her prepared little speech. The worst thing is that according to one poll 40% of people still think she is qualified to be President.

She was a sports newsreader. She can read a teleprompter. She can digest and regurgitate prepared talking points. She can smile sweetly. The gifts her character brings to the table: nastiness, spite, malice, self-aggrandisement.
