No? I didn't think you would. Well, apparently the Houston Chronicle thinks Houstonians would like to read up on the wealthy and how they coped with Hurricane Ike:

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/life/main/6020887.html

At least one wealthy Houstonian moved up a scheduled work trip and evacuated to Paris. Others boarded private planes and flew to Aspen. A few visited New York or stayed in elegant hotels in Austin and San Antonio, while many more rode out Hurricane Ike and its aftermath in such comfy confines as the Four Seasons downtown or the Hotel Granduca in Uptown Park.

Three of Houston's silk-stocking districts — River Oaks, Memorial and Tanglewood— took a sucker punch when Ike whipped through an unlucky 13 days ago.

While money couldn't buy residents of those cushy enclaves love or happiness — or, in many cases, central air — it certainly helped with the relocation bills.

5. In fact I'd address that right now with no bailout. If we want to help people
we could distribute $700 billion to people making under $100K a year and would like to remain in their homes. I'd be much happier with that sort of a bail-out.

3. I do hope they get on that bailout right away, so their portfolios don't take a hit!

4. Another small bit...How unique, to cut up trees and make firewood!
A few days ago, the Thrashes paid a work crew to clear the fallen trees on and near their section of Memorial. "We thought that was the neighborly thing to do," Becca said. "Our house manager told us we couldn't get down the street."

Then John Thrash bought a huge generator, and he and Becca moved back home. She said, "I find Houstonians the most unique people on the planet. We never get down. We take lemons and make lemonade. We cut up trees and make firewood."

And here in rural western WA, we cut up trees and make....what?
