Brain storming session? Pay poor women 1000.00 for getting their tubes tied? |
|
Edited on Thu Sep-25-08 12:37 PM by notadmblnd
I'll bet no one suggested that men get their balls snipped in exchange for a $1000.00. Who is this dork Labruzzo from Louisiana on CNN? He wants people to help pull the welfare wagon not jump in it. Fuck, doesn't he realize if it wasn't for men like him, there would be no women with children on welfare? What a total ass!

4. I say snippy-snip every man or woman after 1/2 live birth. By law. |

It might be worthwhile to offer $1000/person for not using their allotment, especially if they're uncontrolled alcoholics or definitely have some other uncontrolled problem that's guaranteed to make life hard for the kid.

See I had one of those fathers that wouldn't shoulder his responsibility to his 3 daughters. Ran out on my mom, never paid a dime of support. Married another woman and had sons with her. He relocated to Texas so the State of Michigan couldn't get to him. But am I bitter? You bet! My life was hard. Abusive drunken step fathers because my mother knew nothing of work. She was raised that a man takes care of his family. she settled because she need someone to take care of her and her kids. We three girls left at the age of twelve after he ripped the phone out of it's socket and pulled the fuses out of the box and left us home alone. I grew up to be a pretty damn productive member of society and you're saying I should have never been?
Shame on you!

I paid $325 to get snipped and I was not well paid at the time. But the thing is it's usually the women who get stuck taking care of the kid while the fathers bugger off not the other way round, so unless a woman reserves her partners to ONLY the snipped poor (or snipped wealthy come to that), the risk still remains so that's why the focus is on women I would think.

9. Try getting your tubes tied if you are a middle-class childfree woman |

I even offered to sign a hold harmless at the hospital I wanted to have the surgery done at. Ohh, nooo. This was four years ago. I was scheduled for another procedure, and I thought it would be easiest to do both at the same time. I was over 40 at the time. They would not perform the surgery without at least one meeting with the hospital psychologist.
My response to this was to tell the hospital administrator that if I'd walked in there and asked for a prescription for Clomid, they would have strained something to write it on the spot.
This legislation is nothing more than ensuring the "correct" people have children, and I'm sure you can all figure out who the representative in question deems "correct".
