the republicans are the ones against this bailout, or that's how it appears to be framed by the media......

if the democrats get this pushed through and it DOESN'T WORK...IF IT FAILS, WE GO BANKRUPT ANYWAY, game over.

1. Irregardless, people know the Republicans are the ones RESPONSIBLE for this mess.
The Dems just need to hang that around the GOP's neck.

2. No McCain No Bailout
Why does everyone think this is a Democratic thing. They've said at least 10 times over the last 2 days that if McCain and the pukes don't vote for the bill it's not going to be passed.

If McCain votes no the vote fails.

3. The democratic leaders should attach returning full oversight and funding of the regulatory agencies
In short reinstate all the FDR new deal regulation. Fill all the vacant personnel spots with progressive populist people. Fund all the programs.

Then think about the restrictions on any possible bailout.

Fix the conservative policies that got us into this mess BEFORE talking about throwing money at the problem.
