Paul O’Neill: ‘I don’t think Bush understands’ the financial crisis.»
http://thinkprogress.org/

Former Treasury Secretary Paul O’Neill said President Bush is “in a panic” over the financial crisis and isn’t well-equipped to deal with it. “I don’t think he understands or knows much about any of this and it shows,” O’Neill told ABC News. In his book, The Price of Loyalty, O’Neill revealed that Dick Cheney argued in a White House meeting that “deficits don’t matter.” O’Neill also said that he was disturbed that Bush was so disengaged on domestic issues.

4. Don't some of the issues that created this mess go back to him?
All Republican economic theory is flawed IMO and every time they institute their policies America suffers. He is no better than the current bunch floundering around, except he is maybe a little more forthright in his opinion of those curently in Power.

5. he's in a panic because he DOES understand
that rich people are losing money and he's getting stuck with the blame.

his entire presidency was based on making filthy rich greedy bastards think of him as a hero for helping them get even richer and even filthier at the expense of everyone else.

he never cared what the little people thought of him because the filthy rich people (his only real constituency) would always love him. suddenly, that -- his real legacy -- is in jeopardy. if the filthy rich people think of him as the one who ruined everything for them, he'll realize he's screwed.

6. But he has an MBA from Harvard.
Shows you what that is worth.

My Mother says that, hundreds of years from now, the anthropologists will say, "You know, this appears to have been a wonderful place at one time. But it was ruined by something called an MBA".
