Poll question: Is all this ecomonic kerfluffle the October Surprize a month early?
Obviously there are no right or wrong answers to this one ..... just asking for opinions.

1. The November surprise is the red faces of Democrats in Congress
when they realize they've been had, and the wrong person wins the November election.

The stupidity of the Democrats in Congress is incredible. I am especially disappointed in Dodd.

The Republicans are simply shorting the market and pushing prices down. The economy is bad, but it isn't a crisis. This is just a way to embarrass the Democrats and make Obama look like he doesn't understand economics.

What idiots our Congressmen are.

Bush has done nothing but lie to them for 8 years, and they still believe him.

Bernanke and Paulson come crying to Congress about liquidity when they control the liquidity. This is sheer lunacy on the part of Democrats.

5. No, the crisis is all too real.
And both parties are going to fuck this up.

2. No I think it was an unexpected September surprise.
The economy wasn't supposed to unravel until after McCain "won" the election. I think we still have an October surprise coming.

3. A Surprise that Blew-up in McCain's Face.
The debate stunt of the last two days is turning into a full-fledged disaster for McCain.

And ... thankfully, because of Republicans in Congress, the 'Bush Cronyism Bailout Plan' looks to be dead ... and there are no new deals on the table.

If Congressional Democrats are smart (I know that's asking a lot), they will let the Republicans kill this crappy bailout scheme.

4. No chance
This is hurting them far worse than it's hurting us- and it's showing up in the polls.
