In this extraordinary interview, Klein discusses the key ideas behind her concept of The Shock Doctrine and its importance as an alternate economic, social and political history of the last thirty years. She describes how the free market ideas of economist Milton Friedman and the Chicago School fostered the impact of shock from the 1970s Pinochet regime in Chile to the Bush administration today.

3. I sent this book to 6 people...

Not one of them read it. It is the most important book I read out of the dozens of great books being written. This video is great! I just sent it out to my 80 person list... sigh. Can someone get this book to Obama, I will purchase it if someone can tell me where to send it.

5. Listening and finished readying the book recently

been going through the bill, over and over and over again, as it is posted.

If I read the proposed bill correctly what they are doing is not Shock, why the radical right is fighting hard to crop elements (that should be there) out of the bill and pulling a tamper tantrum. This shock actually is leading to a wake up call for Keynes, and the death knell of Friedman... and I do hope I am right on what I am readying in the bill.
