Ex - governor to GOP: Fight Schwarzenegger recall
http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/us/AP-California-GOP-Convention.html

Former Gov. Pete Wilson urged his fellow Republicans on Saturday not to make light of a recall drive against Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.

He told delegates at the California Republican Party's fall convention that they should take the threat from the state prison guards union seriously, even if it isn't likely to succeed.

''I hope that I don't have to tell you what an ill-considered idea that is. We did it once; we did not do it lightly,'' he said, referring to the 2003 recall of former Gov. Gray Davis, a Democrat, an election that sent Schwarzenegger to Sacramento. ''It is something that should not be taken lightly. It is an extreme measure.''

A conservative wing of the state GOP had planned to vote later Saturday on whether to endorse the recall campaign but instead decided to further investigate the effort first.

9. He did nothing to earn the job, he's done nothing since the job was given to him ...
... he has been the embarrassment everyone expected him to be.

He shouldn't wait for a recall, if he had any integrity, he'd resign.

Oh, and Wilson should STFU.

7. CCPOA Launches Recall of Governor
LOL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CIRCULATE RECALL PETITION
TO THE HONORABLE ARNOLD SCHW ARZENEGGER: Pursuant to the California
Constitution and Section 11020, California Elections Code, the undersigned registered qualified voters of the State of California hereby give notice that we are the proponents of a recall petition ( and that we intend to seek your recall and removal from the office of Governor of the State of.
California and to demand election of a successor in that office.
The grounds for the recall are as follows:
Catastrophic leadership failings and inept management, including, but not limited to, repeated acts of untrustworthiness, gross fiscal mismanagement jeopardizing funding for schools, infrastructure, public safety and other essential services; reckless borrowing, saddling taxpayers and future generations of Californians with billions of dollars in new debt; breaking your promise to "cut up the credit cards" and oppose new taxes; failure to reform California's correctional system, causing a federal takeover of prison health care and costing taxpayers an estimated $8 billion; using state workers as "scapegoats" for your leadership failure and threatening their rights and financial wellbeing; soliciting and accepting special interest money at levels never before seen in California history'; betraying voter trust and mortgaging our children's future; and leaving California in far worse shape than before your election.
The printed names, signatures, and residence addresses of the proponents are as follows:

4. Karma, she's a bitch!!! Too bad, Arnie
This prison guard union is tough and they have a pile of money. I would love to see them succeed or make such a stink that it knocks Arnie on his can so he is damaged goods when he tries to run for Boxer's seat in a few years. Go prison guards! I'll sign your petition.
