Oh, my, I was afraid of this. The "Claymates" prove to have a fickle faction because of teh gay!
"I will never be able to listen to him sing, "O Holy Night," knowing he desires unholy nights."

====

This is an extremely upsetting time for me, so this will be my last post on this board, or any other Clay board... because the music and a part of me died yesterday.

Like so many of his fans, I have invested over five years of promoting him in every way I knew how, especially to young people, including my three young nephews and four teenage nieces. But he lied to us for those five years... presenting himself as someone that he is the very opposite of.

I have lost all respect for him... I will never be able to look at him the same again.

I will never be able to listen to him sing, "O Holy Night," knowing he desires unholy nights.

And watching him "come out" while hiding himself behind that poor little baby was utterly disgusting.

For all his talk about his personal life being off limits, he the one who has put it out there front and center, and has become just another advocate for legitimizing this abomination.

Every day families across this country are bombarded with this so-called alternative lifestyle being shoved down our throats... on television, in music, and in print. But it will forever be abnormal, perverse, and a subject of ridicule. And all the charity work in the world won't change that fact.

Today, if you say homosexual behavior is wrong, some people will label you homophobic, or say that you are judgmental. So be it, I know Who has the last word on this, and that word won't change with the times.

And he may be hailed by the majority of his fanbase, as well as the media, and Hollywood... but I can guarantee you that there are many families in this nation who are devastated by this "coming out."Mine is one of them. They don't post on boards and forums, but they were his fans just the same.

And my family have thrown away our massive amount of Clay CDs, DVDs, and memorabilia, which we had accumulated since he was AI. I've deleted the many Gbs of his videos from my computer, and I'm now in the process of saying goodbye to the Clay boards where I am a member.

My family and I have taken and defended our last "revelation" from Clay Aiken.

Mods, please delete my account immediately... thank you.

7. The truly amazing thing about these people to me is,
they invariably choose someone who could not possibly be more clearly gay to idolize, and then feel let down when they state the obvious. Ted Haggard was another example. They are attracted to the very thing they claim to hate.

And why, out of all the hundreds of things they could choose out of the Bible to base a hatred on, do they pick this one? Why not pork-eaters? Or the divorced? Or, I don't know...Canaanites? There is something pathological going on with homophobes that baffles me.

9. Really? Really?
Really?.....LMAO

They really had no clue? And they are going to stop liking his music because he's gay?

Like so many of his fans, I have invested over five years of promoting him in every way I knew how, especially to young people, including my three young nephews and four teenage nieces. But he lied to us for those five years... presenting himself as someone that he is the very opposite of.

Were they a fan or a cult member?

Obsess much?

Wow.
I may have to go on some Claymate boards to have a laugh.

15. I'm sorry for your experience.
I too find it sick, but laughter is how I deal with things. I'm gay AND black and have run into a fair share of shitty attitudes, although luckily I haven't had an experience such as yours.

I mean no offense in laughing at that attitude. As I said, it's my way of coping w/o going crazy.

11. I feel really badly for Clay Aiken now.
It was because of all this insane pressure by the delusional people who were his "fans" that he had to be in the closet despite the fact that he was so obviously gay.

It's just a sad situation.

34. It appears more like they hold him up to be some form of "god" or something
Which is really funny, since they appear to be fundagelicals. And here they are, openly practicing idol worship.

Which (unlike homosexuality) actually WAS mentioned in God's Own Personal Top 10 List that He handed off to Moses.

14. Well, leave it to a fundie to be one of the few people on the planet to not already know.
Clay Aiken being gay is probably the worst kept secret of the last 5 years.

That's why when the People mag cover came out, there was a collective "Yeah.... and?" proceded by a yawn.

Edited on Sun Sep-28-08 01:19 AM by Jamastiene
have their heads out of their asses about the fact that he is gay. They were the only ones who didn't fucking know, apparently. :eyes:

Too bad they stuck their heads right back up their own asses to get their "new" opinions on him.

Jama rant:
That post looks like some of the typical North Carolina mentality that I complain about all the time. :eyes: Fuck 'em. They don't deserve they oxygen they are breathing. They have bullied people like me for YEARS AND YEARS AND YEARS now. I got :nopity: for them. If I could find that woman and rub her nose in it, I would. And, YES, I would laugh in her fucking face about it, because they cannot hurt me worse than they already have in this shithole state.

I have no compunction left but to take a few violent life preserving swings right the fuck back at them when they get violent with me now too. I've won my last few fights. I'll go down swinging. My last words when I leave this Earth will be "Fuck you" if I live amidst people like that my whole life...and so far, I have. Poverty fucking sucks. There ain't no justice.

Hey NClayolina!!! The hatred is mutual now. Are you satisfied with the hatred for you that you have instilled in me?

21. How many parents have gay kids who refuse to acknowledge it?
They push them into relationships that are destructive, they make them put on big acts, then when what naturally is finally cannot be ignored, they disown them.

Just like Miss "NClayolina" here. It's disgraceful, this conditional love.

30. Exactly.
It should be criminal...some of the things they do to their own children. It should definitely be considered child abuse. That might be the only thing we'd stand a chance of getting into law nationwide; a law against brutalizing children for being gay. I'd be willing to bet this area would fight that law against abusing children simply for being gay. There will be no "think of the children" then. I don't know how they can look at themselves in the mirror. I don't know how they sleep at night.

26. If you knew what the people in this area are like...
I'm not talking about only one group of people. It is institutionalized homophobia. To NOT be homophobic in this area makes you a target. I'm talking doctors, lawyers, politicians, teachers, you name it, in this area. They think just like that woman in that post. Some are WORSE than that. They have NO compassion whatsoever. They will do things that you would normally see in horror movies. They will do those things to their own children if they find out their kid was gay. Trust me. I know from firsthand personal experience.

There should be a brand name on that kind of mentality like it is here. I wish I could do a sight seeing (or should I say "ear hearing") tour of my hometown for people who don't know what it is like and just let people overhear the types of things I overhear on a daily basis just being in town. It is not your typical type of hatred. It is a fundamentalist "Christian" based type of hatred that says it's ok to rape a lesbian and it's ok to beat a gay man to a pulp all in the name of their God.

Well, I'm here to tell them not just no, but hell no, it's not ok. Some of the things that have been done just in my hometown alone have left me scarred emotionally for life. I'll never be over it. I meant it when I said I'm going down swinging. I'm not going down without a huge huge fight. I won't be destroyed that way without fighting back. No more. Enough is enough.

Did you know that in some cases electric shock therapy has been used on gay men to try to "make them straight?" An older friend of mine here in town went through that in the 70s, the LATE 70s, mind you. He'll never be right again. He is destroyed emotionally because of that experience. Guess who made the decision to do it to him and how old he was when they did that to him? He copes the best way he can. There are a few people in our small GLBT community here who take turns taking care of him to make sure he doesn't get killed wandering around too close to the train tracks or random homophobes in the area out for a sick thrill. We have zero gay bars here. We have zero GLAAD, zero PFLAG, zero gay organizations of any kind within 100 mile of here. It is heartbreaking to listen to him talk about his experiences in life. It is heartbreaking to see a human being so utterly destroyed inside that they cannot function in life any more. Did they cure his "gayness?" No, but they sure destroyed him inside in a way that can never be recovered.

That should be criminal, religion or no religion. There is no excuse. It should be a felony to do that to another human being. Whether it is through electric shock therapy or through the "ex-gay" movement. Or whether it is something that happened to a 19 year old girl in a white block building on a back road where I was raped in the late 1980s, simply for being a lesbian. See, I'm destroyed inside too, just like Mr. Leon, but that doesn't mean I have to lay down and take it for the rest of my life. They are going to have to take me out the hard way. There are many who would stone me to death right here in the USA, if they could...

22. Just proves how clueless people are...LOL
I knew Clay was gay while he was on American Idol, DUH!

What exactly does Clay's private life have to do with his music??? Those people are so petty and ignorant.

I am an Atheist, have always been a skeptic. I listened to a lot of xtian metal and was not clueless to its content, it was obvious. But I liked the sound and I still listen to some STRYPER or BRIDE from time to time. It will not make me a xtian, just listening to Clay Aiken will not make anyone gay.

23. It's too late for that poor woman...
if her "three young nephews and four teenage nieces" listened to that much Clay, then they've already caught teh gay.

Clay may have blown his cover (!) as a sleeper agent gay recruiter, but that only means that his work is done, and that millions and millions of MOR loving teenagers and young adults will soon be out there having nasty, animalistic sex with members of their own gender.

You've wondered about the Gay Agenda, fundies? Well, THIS was it!
