13. Yes, the OP is right, kirby
I've been out talking to voters. This is not the fault of Democrats. This is not the fault of Democratic policies. This is the fault of the Republican regime of W. Democrats should simply say that any bail-out will have to wait until after the election. Make the election in part a referendum on the Republican stewardship of the economy.

5. Sadly, no.
The Republics have no intention of winning this "election." If they did, they'd have presented a Romney/Huckabee ticket. Poor OLD John McCain is being thrown under the bus, same as Poor OLD Bob Dole. Anybody remember him? I didn't think so...

14. Really? Because the ignoramuses in the elevators are talking about it.
Fortunately only the well-informed complex thinkers are allowed to vote in this country.

12. You had better believe it. Nice guys lose again.
This makes us Democrats look like suckers.

This is not our problem. We should not be involved. We should insist that there can be no solution until after the election.

18. Failure To Impeach Is Already Doing That, But Yes ...
...this further confirmation that there is a functional conspiracy inside the beltway acting against the interests of the once-sovereign American People and their Constitution provides the same "optics."

Walk-away Wealthfare, telecom immunity, complicity with torture and war crimes, and the other outrages against our laws and values make it impossible to represent Obama and/or the Dems as a substantive alternative. The campaign wallows in trivialities because the real differences are trivial.

There's still plenty of time for talking impeachment. And there's never a "bad time" to do what we know we must.

Impeachment remains our ONLY moral, patriotic (and electoral) option.

23. read the literature on optimism/pessimism.
pessimists can be extremely helpful to humanity at exactly times like this. to save you a little reading: optimists tend to be happier, pessimists tend to be more accurate.

of the Wall Street welfare that they're shoving down our throats.
