What will be Pailn's most over used debate line... |
|
Last Thursday, McSame spent the whole night saying "What Senator Obama doesn't understand is..."
Next week, what line will the Palinator spew every time she gets into a jam?
My bet - "If what you're asking is ..." Then she we go on to change the question to one that she's rehearsed and answer that one, leaving the real question hanging in the air. This assumes that you don't count that vapid "What the f* is he talking about?" look that she gets. I'm talking about actual words you could hear on the radio broadcast (although you might actually be able to hear her stupidity through the silence on radio).
If the debate happens (and I have my doubts), it should be great theater. My bet is that she's already got a plane ticket to Alaska for Thursday morning to rush home and care for Bristol as she fights a potential miscarriage.

I'm a maverick. I'm going to change Washington, once I figure out where it is on the map. I negotiate with Russia.

We need to shore up our economy. (She said this at least three times in the Couric interview.)

22. This Is A Talk Show Format.... |
|
Last Friday's debate was the closest I've seen in a long time to a classic college-type debate...even though Gramps didn't come prepared for engaging in one. The "strategery" is to spew the talking points and rehash the campaign boilerplate to eat up the time...and then to try to land a zinger...get a soundbite that they can try to get the media to obsess on. Gramps hoped he could catch Obama in a "gotcha" moment where he stumbled or looked unsure...it didn't happen. Instead, Gramps came off mean spirited and angry...a perception I believe will help Senator Obama in the forthcoming polls.
Palin's game will be different. The next debate will be more "personality"...rigged that way by Camp Gramps so that there's no direct question and answers as much as it will be a "friendly discussion" between the hockey barracuda and Joe Biden.
I agree that I expect her to use a cliche similar to what you say and then go into a talking point or some other programmed response. Her problem is that we're seeing she gets her wires crossed and the talking poitns and responses come out garbled. She's used to being able to intimidate and bullshit her way through life and, while way over her head, still is trying to play the audience or the refs.
She'll need Biden to make a mistake...her bar is so damn low...and Joe will have to be gentle (which he can be) and educate her and the viewers...using his tremendous command of history, facts and politics. Palin has to show at this debate...Camp Gramps has thrown away its "get out of debate free" card with Gramps stunt last week. Any hint of her backing out will start a media shitstorm...my bets are she's being hold up and being programmed like a Mars Rover. Let's see how far into a crater she ends up.
Cheers...

24. she'll refer repeatedly to Biden as a Washington insider. |
|
close second, she'll refer constantly to her "executive experience."
and, of course, she'll ask "In what respect, Charlie?" often.
