Is opposition to unnecessary military warfare an obsolete ideal? |

Nowadays, the Japanese military doesn't seem to pose a threat to any people outside Japan. Nevertheless, there are plenty of people (particularly in East Asia) who complain that Japan is behaving in neo-colonialist ways.
Many citizens of India who lived in parts of India that are now in the jurisdiction of Pakistan or Bangladesh were killed and many were forced (temporarily) to become refugees. Fortunately, India accepted at least the vast majority of those refugees. The violence was in many cases religiously motivated. For example, people in some neighborhoods were at particular risk if they were dressed in a manner suggesting that they were adherents of Sikhism or Hinduism. However, it seems that the violence was not actually committed by any military organization.

1. India is at war with Pakistan; hence, it is not a good idea for Indian nationals to be in Pakistan |
