Palin Debate Watching
I'll be honest: I am not watching the VP debate on Thursday for anything Joe Biden says. I like Biden a lot, and have really taken to his oratorical style, gaffes and all. But, I will tune in on Thursday purely to watch and absorb the sinkhole of stupid that is Sarah Palin.

I bet the ratings for this one are better than the Obama/McCain debate.

I also wonder how many millions of Americans will be watching, like me, because they have never seen such a stupid twit like Sarah Palin in all their lives.

Why are YOU going to watch?

1. Everybody watches NASCAR for the crashes.
There's no shame in it, we're just wired that way.

This is going to be one hell of a pileup :)

3. I won't be watching, I have another commitment
I'd like to watch though. However, the minute I get home I'll be coming here to watch the videos and read the comments. I want Joe Biden to mop the floor with little Miss, I hope I'm not disappointed.

4. I will be watching just as I watched this Friday
not to watch Obama (I get what he has to say and pretty much agree with him), but to see what McCain (or in the next one Palin) says, doesn't say or does. McCain did do better than I hoped he would do and better than I thought he would do. I expect the Esteemed Governor of Alaska to also do better than I expect or hope (which would be a complete disaster). I just have a tiny feeling that some of this interview stupid that she has been doing has been to lower expectations and to make her look to be less than she might pull off in the debate. Been wrong before and could be again, but I think there is some gamesmanship going on here.

like going to the circus to see one of those little side tent freak shows. IF she responds as she has been doing, this debate should be very entertaining. I am only watching to see if she further buries herself while wrapped in a blanket of stupidity.

7. My biggest concern is the "cone of silence" surrounding the secrecy of the
questions. Having watched Palin, as all of you, it is abundantly clear she is not a gifted "think on her feet" type so for her to appear reasonably intelligent, she would have to anticipate or have access to the questions prior to the debate. As we suspect all the leaks from the RNC only serve to lower the bar of expectations. Secondly, I wonder if there will be questions from Gwen, the moderator, which explore the nationally televised gaffs. I think we'll know a lot more about the "balanced" approach of this debate if no questions seek clarification on those foreign policy gaffs.

9. Palin's performance needs to
reflect only 1 IQ point higher than that of the low information voters who might be watching for this debate to be considered a success for her.

As much as I'd love to see SARAH! crash and burn, I doubt she will. She'll be coached on simple responses to questions, enough to get by and enough people will continue to see her as a real winner. Unfortunately we have a seriously dumbed down electorate. The powers that be in the Republican Party are counting on them for support.

Country First! my ass. This woman has no place anywhere near one heart beat away. It's sad that the Republicans are using the stupidity of the American people to pull off another victory.
