FDA warns of instant coffee in U.S. from China (here we go again)
Edited on Sun Sep-28-08 11:55 AM by DainBramaged
U.S. regulators warned the public on Friday not to consume seven Mr. Brown instant coffee and milk tea products that were made in China because of concerns they may be contaminated with melamine.

The Food and Drug Administration said the products were recalled by King Car Food Industrial Co Ltd "due to possible contamination with melamine."

Infant formula tainted with the industrial chemical has resulted in hospitalization for thousands of Chinese babies with painful kidney stones. Four have died.

When will Corporate America wake up and realize the Chinese don't care if they poison us or their own?

I see ignored people too!

1. It's not that they don't care. It's that they don't care TO REGULATE.
China is what the Republicans want us to become.

9. Nope. I personally refuse to buy food products and painted items from China
What angers me more than anything are stores that sell Tilapia from China. There are NO standards like there are here for raising fish on fish farms, and yet stores like A&P and Waldbaum's (same company) sell it WITHOUT advertising where it comes from.

Deadly.

14. Another reason why not to shop in Walmart. They import the inferior
Chinese brands, put a "Sams" sticker on it and shirk responsibility when kids start dropping like flies. Walmart sells inferior products that are not safely tested. If you like to gamble your children's future away feed them junk food from Walmart, or buy them Chinese made bikes with inferior spokes and metal and fire nonretardent clothes, or wallpaper that is recycled in China with gaseous materials. Save $5.00 and kill your child. The Chinese government does not care about killing off its children or they would put into place regulations. They have not and will not. Walmart does not care about the fact that they are buying inferior polluted products from the Chinese government. They have and will continue doing so.
