Obama Live Event in Detroit - now
They are streaming at Obama/live, but keep cutting out after beginning speakers are done. The email I got says it begins at 1:30 EDT, but could be delayed a bit.

The link where they are streaming is here: http://www.barackobama.com/live

From the email:

Our live streams let you watch major campaign events as they happen -- without interruptions.

Please forward this email to anyone you know who would like to watch Barack Obama and Joe Biden's events live online.

Today's event (start times appear as scheduled but may be subject to delay):

Change We Need Rally
with Barack Obama, Joe Biden,
Michelle Obama, and Jill Biden
Detroit, MI
1:30 p.m. EDT

I wish I were in a position to drive down there ... my old stomping grounds around Wayne State University.

2. no kidding?
Wayne State's my old stomping grounds too. The North Cass Corridor is awesome, lived there 3 years.

I have to work today, so I can't drive over there, dammit. But I've gotten cell phone calls from lots of people there. They say the area is PACKED and the energy is fantastic.

5. Yup. I spent a lot of time at the Traffic Jam ... anchor man on my fraternity chug-a-lug team.
Lived at the Alexandrine (on Alexander, a block off Woodward) right after they converted it from run-down hotel to mini-apartments (residency hotel?) then at the Pi-Kappa-Alpha house when it was east of Woodward (on Forrest).

Growing up in the NW 'burbs, the Detroit Public Library (and the museums) was one of my very favorite places to go ... along with the Vernors plant on Woodward for a Boston Cooler.

6. the Traffic Jam is still one of the hippest places to eat in The D.
But I'll still take Xocimilco. Mex Town rules.

The Alexandrine is nice. I lived in Hadley Hall for 3 years. West Warren between 2nd and 3rd.

Have you been to the Wayne State area lately? I can't believe how nice it's getting there. My wife and I are talking about buying a loft there.

4. You are psychic. I was just watching MSNBC and they interupted
Biden to let the talking heads spew and I was thinking, I wonder if this in streaming online and I wonder if Obama's site has it. And there you were with the answer. Thanks! =)
