He's an artist and likes to make a visual statement. I am there too but am hiding behind the signs.

6. And for every single person, like your husband, who went out to
protest this bailout, there were 1000 who couldn't be there to express their opposition to this corporate welfare.

7. You would not believe the number of people who honked their horns for us --
young and old, fancy cars and beaters, dems and repukes. I don't think anyone likes the bailout plan - people were really expressing that they were mad as hell and aren't going to take it anymore. If we just had a way to harness the outrage!

8. Help send a message to my congressional delegation!
We've posted a poll on our Local Democratic Party website asking: Are you satisfied with the changes made in the $700 billion Wall Street Bailout? There are three options for a response. Yes, No, Undecided.

The website is viewed daily by our Congressional delegation and its staffs as well as by most of the state's party leaders. I really want them to get a sense of the reaction from Democrats and progressives.

So if you can take a moment and vote, I'd appreciate it!

12. What's remarkable is that the news is even showing them.
We have similar anti-war protests of small groups of people gathering on street corners like that all the time and the local news never, ever shows them. No wonder our political leaders are oblivious to exactly how everyone feels.

13. To be honest, the reporter was very sympathetic to our cause.
