Tell me about Senator Judd Gregg

I'm watching him give the talk to the press about the bailout deal.
Ususally every Republican turns my stomach. For some reason, I don't find this
guy objectionable. What's his story?

3. When he speaks, I generally beg for someone to

remove his battery pack or hit is off button. I don't know if he's up for re-election. If he is, he's trying to sound reasonable to save his ass. He has been one of the biggest watercarriers for * during the entire 8 years.

4. Gregg is up again in 2010, Sununu is up this year.

12. he's not up this year, Sununu is, and Shaheen is looking fairly good

in her run against him.

I don't know how we'll get Gregg out- but he needs to lose his seat and his power- I really dislike him,- intensely.
But he's got connections, money and power- :shrug:

I have family in NH and have lived there myself.

Yes, I do think that NH republicans are generally a different breed than most of the current gang, but Gregg is kind of a jerk.

Anti-choice, crappy record on civil rights, anti-union, but the Christian Coalition likes him fine.

9. Our Version of Junior Bush

His dad was a politican of great stature here.
Judd, not so much.

For various odd reasons we have several of these Junior Republicans lurking around NH -
Jr. Sunnunu, Charlie Bass, the Bossie kid. They tend to be a little more stable than the wingnuts, but that's about all.

6. He just said if Congress can't pass the bailout then they don't

deserve to be a Congress.

7. He won a lottery in DC for $800,000 or so... asked by the press ..

if he would donate any to charity, he said no, I won it, it is all mine! (paraphrasing his words). He was already a wealthy lawyer.

13. I know- he was so arrogant and snotty about it too-

as if "how dare you question my right to have more and more and more"

His wife was robbed at an ATM or something like that- he was a real ass about that as well- not that she 'should' have been robbed, but his attitude and demeanor is repugnant- and 'elitist' to the extreme-

I would love to work on a challengers campaign when he comes up for re-election. He doesn't represent NH well at all.

He's very close friends with the Bush family.
