U.S. has its own 'iron lady'

Englanders proudly called her "the iron lady." Margaret Thatcher, mother of twins, served three terms as one of England's greatest prime ministers. U.S. Secretary of State Alexander Haig wished there were more like her.

She faced fierce opposition, including a bomb that ripped through five stories of the Grand Hotel in Brighton. It was a miracle that she had stepped out of her room for a few minutes.

Americans now have Sarah Palin, our "iron lady," who has proved herself as mother, homemaker and politician -- loyal and honest -- to serve her country. John McCain and Sarah Palin will be a breath of fresh air in Washington, D.C.

I doubt the answer will be positive. And what about that lovely son of hers who was running weapons?

But then again, if Doris (may I call you Doris, sweetie?) could read at something higher than a 3rd grade comprehension, she'd know that Palin neither honest nor a potential candidate for "Iron Lady".

Yeah, Thatcher redux is just what we need.
