Palin to Appear in Bay Area But Will Not Speak

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS/Mercury News) -- Vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is scheduled to appear at a republican fundraiser at the Burlingame Hyatt Regency on Sunday, October 5th, according to Mercury News.

Palin was supposed to appear in the Bay Area earlier this month at a fundraiser in Woodland, but was pulled out unexpectedly at the last minute. The McCain campaign cited a scheduling conflict, but some speculated that a survey showing Barack Obama comfortably ahead in the polls here in California as the reason.

Palin has been a polarizing figure since she was first chosen by McCain to be his running mate. The Arizona Senator sung her praises on ABC's This Week:

~snip~

One of the criticisms that continues to follow Palin is that outside of a few select sit-down interviews, she still has yet to open to the media. Unfortunately, that may not change any time soon. According to the state Republican party, Palin will appear at the fundraiser in Burlingame but will not be making any public comments.

6. This is because the mcsame campaign thinks that ALL women are stupid.
There is no other possible explanation. If they didn't think that all women were stupid, why would they choose such a stupid one to be vice-president?

Something from the Bimbo Bakery, perhaps?

10. Can the McCain campaign make it more obvious that she's a liability when she speaks?
I see the Mercury labeled her as a 'polarizing figure.'

During and after the RNC she was the darling of the ticket.

Or maybe just go ahead and dye her hair blond to complete the impression she gives.

Or, go ahead and put a receiver in her ear so she can repeat what someone else is telling her to say? Then we could call her Talking Caribou Barbie.
