House GOP leaders support deal
By Jackie Kucinich

House Republican leaders came out in favor of the financial rescue package during a closed door meeting of the Republican conference.

Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) referred to the bill as a "crap sandwich" according to two sources in the room, but said it was critical to save interests on Main Street.

Minority Whip Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), Chief Deputy Eric Cantor (R-Va.)and Budget Committee ranking member Paul Ryan (R-Wis.)all came out strongly for the compromise, brokered Saturday night between congressional leaders and Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, according to sources.

8. Please note: "leaders" ... not "rank and file."
They wouldn't even start meeting as a caucus unless the "leaders" were on board. Now it's an exercise in herding elephants.

10. My prediction:
This bailout won't go through. The market won't collapse. Some businesses will be effected by the credit crunch, but alternative solutions will be found for many.

13. I disagree
I think everything will collapse deal or no deal. We are in bad shape and we will pay for the greed that wall street has had over the past few decades. This plan will make no difference.

6. Olace the blame where it is due, you assholes:
When you have an administration that promotes something called "Voluntary Regulation"(aka: "Fucking for Virginity") and you pass every dog of a bill your guys like Phil Gramm, Dick Armey and Bill Thomas can bring to the floor, all you get is shit sandwiches. So be happy it isn't a rope and a lamp post, which others might call an entirely appropriate reward for your efforts, lo these many years.

I get such a kick out of these knuckleheads all of a sudden worrying about Main Street.

11. It is a crap sandwich
But if we've got to take a bite, it's only fair that you do to, Mr. Boehner.
